RS246 at Bugatti curcuit LeMans

Organised by the French Audi Passion site the weekend of the 28th March saw an entourage of 10 RS4s and S4 and A3 tdi make there way to the world famous Le Mans Bugatti circuit. A beautiful setting in mid France with weather to match, our journey saw us pass through some breath taking sites and superb roads, stopping along the way to take in the local French cuisine and atmosphere.
Once at Le Mans meeting up with our international friends from many continents……

Our thanks go to AudiPassion.com especially Eric, Frederic, Stephan. From the outset this was a well organised trip and well attended too.

Our overnight rendezvous was the Ibis Hotel near the track, where spirited drinking and chat took place, an early start with breakfast and a parade of all the vehicles to the world famous track.

You can see more images from our trip in the RS246 Media Gallery.

Once on the track which had just been resurfaced for the oncoming season, it was soon made apparent this track it was very special indeed, very technical and demanding, personally i covered 113 miles on the track and would have done more if time allowed.

We all look forward to our return to this superb track of excellence in motorsport.

Thanks

RS246 – From Strength to Strength….

On the 29th December 2003, RS246 celebrated it’s 1st birthday. RS246 would like to take this opportunity to thank it’s members for making this the best resource for Audi S and RS cars on the net, thank you all.

Over the past 12 months RS246 has attracted members from all around the world. The most momentous event was when our friends Jose and Junior flew over from Brazil to attend the RS Drivers’ Challenge at Hockenheim. Their arrival at Frankfurt airport was greeted with a convoy of 6 RS4s waiting to take them on to the RS holiday of a lifetime……..

This event was closely followed by our Track Day at Oulton Park, which attracted over 40 Audi S and RS cars. The RS246 Enthusiasts are truly global. We have members from South and North America, Europe, and Asia/Pacific.

RS Drivers’ Challenge 2003

Once again it is time for the RS Drivers’ Challenge at the Hockenheim circuit, home of the German Formula 1.

We are looking for a large number of RS owners to join us this year…. Last year we had 6 UK RS4s attending. This year we are looking for a strong RS contingent of both RS4s and RS6s.

Rare RS4 Models at RS246

Many thanks to Audi UK for their support of this site. The latest has been the gift of a number of RS4 models. We have decided to award the models to ‘keepers of the faith’, who have stood strong with us during their ownership of the Audi RS4……

The first model was awarded to Phil Daft who hosted and help build up the RS4.org (RIP) community.

RS246.com’s Birth

Back in 2001/2 a number of RS4 owners were united under the RS4.org website with the excitement of the first RS since the RS2.

Unfortunately the “safety” wheel drama was too much for the owner of RS4.org and he redirected the domain to Subaru.co.uk (Ouch!!).

So was born RS246.com by John “Charlie Big Potatoes” Roberts.
