The engine is as yet unconfirmed but it is likely to be either the 1.8 or 2.0 TFSI producing over 200bhp. RS1 is unlikely unless the S1 is a raging success.

Looks like Audi is going for a full house. Queue the Audi RS1 and Audi RS7…. No news on an RS8 (Yet)
Note that the above picture is the hype RS7 from a few years ago and the proposed RS7 is more likely to look like the S7 below.
This is good and bad news for the RS enthusiasts and will leave many divided. Some believe the true RS breed born from the womb of quattro GmbH should only appear in Avant form, whilst others prefer the Saloon versions.
